Pickleball in Racine, Ohio

Racine is adding pickleball to Star Mill Park as part of improvements to this Ohio River community park. The project includes a pickleball court, court fencing, and an accessible sidewalk. Once the new court enters regular public use, Star Mill Park will give Racine players an in-town option for casual games.

Players who want a game now have established options in Athens. The Ohio University Golf & Tennis Center publishes recurring community open play, making it the more useful choice for someone traveling alone. The Athens Community Center has four free dedicated outdoor courts for players who already have partners or prefer first-come, first-served play.

Where to Play Pickleball near Racine

• Star Mill Park, Racine. This is Racine's developing local pickleball location. A publicly funded park project includes a pickleball court, court fencing, and an accessible sidewalk. Do not plan a game here until the new court has entered regular public use. The Village of Racine website is the official local source for Star Mill Park and other village information.
• Ohio University Golf & Tennis Center, 106 S. Green Drive, Athens. If you are traveling alone, plan around an Ohio University open-play session in Athens. The published Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday sessions give you a specific time and place to join other players without bringing a partner or arranging a foursome in advance.
